Kanji

Translation

In a downpour of rain
I took shelter without an umbrella
The sunset I was expecting
Is spoiled by greyness

We don't have the time
After school, in the studio
Idol activities? Give me a break!
We don't have the time
While blameless people are being manipulated
And this green star is being eaten away!
She's coming near, she's coming near -- Galaxia!

The rain keeps on falling
And these dark clouds
Close away our imperial princess's light
I want to be by your side, aah, princess...
I just...can't see you...

No, rather, I'm going to trust that
I do have friends
It's always the three of us, struggling through it
We'll do everything we can, at the usual pace

The downpour of rain stops
And now it's already late at night
In the wide sky filled with stars
I can't see my beloved home...

We don't have the time
For the diversion of writing songs
Ruination? Decay? Say it's not true!
We don't have the time
Sailor soldiers are still being captured!
Starseeds are being stolen away!
She's coming closer, she's coming closer, Galaxia!

In a starry sky
That looks like it's falling
There's a cloudless moon truly shining
Your power, ah, Sailor Moon
That's right...we can depend on it...

Yes, I'm going to believe
That I do have friends
Together with the solar system's soldiers
We'll do everything we can, at the usual pace

Yes, I'm going to believe
That I do have friends
Together with the solar system's soldiers
We'll do everything we can, at the usual pace

Footnotes

given with the kanji 地球 "chikyuu", Planet Earth, but sang as ほし, "hoshi", star. Perhaps just given to indicate that the green star Taiki is singing about is, indeed, Earth, not Kinmoku.

故郷 "furusato" broadly means "hometown", but it can be used in the sense of "my beloved home" or "the place where my heart dwells", as Taiki is obviously doing so here while looking at the stars -- something that Yaten also touches upon in her own image single, though she's looking at a starchart on a computer, not the skies.
